Despite a lot of injury issues over the course of the season the women’s team finished 13th overall in the league. A strong final fixture saw Nicole Frith finish in 11th, Petra Vymetalova 62nd, Sarah Sheppard 73rd and Jo Wilkie completed the scoring team in 96th. Hannah Randall, Lucy Goode, Angela Pippard and Clare Hawling also all ran fantastically, being vital in the B team and Masters Teams.
The men’s team had a consistent season and fought hard throughout to ensure they remained in Division 2 next year. In the final fixture Robert Finch led them home in 30th, with Harrison Miles close behind in 38th. All Daitt finished in 57th, Matt Dwerryhouse was 67th and Cameron White was 82nd. Completing the scoring team was Andy Gore in 98th, the only member of the team to compete in all 4 fixtures this year – no wonder he made club history this year becoming the Harrier to have competed in the most Birmingham Leagues. 113!!
Andrew Kaighin, Ross Swain, Phil Turbard, Kevin Goodwill, Ian Giles and Michael Ede all ran superbly to form the B team
]]>In the first race of the day Jess Bailey came out on top winning the U11 girls category by 10 seconds. In the U11 boys race Joseph Bradshaw produced his best race of the season finishing 2nd, an improvement of 14 places on his previous top finish!
Moving up to the U13 race it was another victory for Jack Shingler, securing himself the overall league title in style. Sebastian Heath ran well to make it two Harriers in the top 3 with a 3rd place finish. Ivy Wightman also secured league victory with a 2nd place finish in the U13 girls race.
We had two 2nd place finishes in the U15 category with Oliver Wilson and Scarlett Eagland both producing superb runs.
Our U17 men and women impressed with Erin Musty taking 1st and Tom Wightman and Maddie Thomson both finishing in 3rd.
Steph Lane and Harrison Miles led the men and women home as 3rd Senior Lady and 23rd Senior Man respectively. There were plenty more top three finishes in our senior races too. Sarah Sheppard was 2nd L40, Milly Foster took 3rd U20, Clare Hawling was 1st L60, Michael Eded finished 3rd M65, Heath Bampton was 2nd M55, Andy Gore 3rd M50 and Martin Foster was 1st M45.
