Our athletes turned up in big numbers to compete at the final Gloucestershire Cross Country League of the season in Pittville Park.

In the first race of the day Jess Bailey came out on top winning the U11 girls category by 10 seconds. In the U11 boys race Joseph Bradshaw produced his best race of the season finishing 2nd, an improvement of 14 places on his previous top finish!

Moving up to the U13 race it was another victory for Jack Shingler, securing himself the overall league title in style. Sebastian Heath ran well to make it two Harriers in the top 3 with a 3rd place finish. Ivy Wightman also secured league victory with a 2nd place finish in the U13 girls race.

We had two 2nd place finishes in the U15 category with Oliver Wilson and Scarlett Eagland both producing superb runs.

Our U17 men and women impressed with Erin Musty taking 1st and Tom Wightman and Maddie Thomson both finishing in 3rd.

Steph Lane and Harrison Miles led the men and women home as 3rd Senior Lady and 23rd Senior Man respectively. There were plenty more top three finishes in our senior races too. Sarah Sheppard was 2nd L40, Milly Foster took 3rd U20, Clare Hawling was 1st L60, Michael Eded finished 3rd M65, Heath Bampton was 2nd M55, Andy Gore 3rd M50 and Martin Foster was 1st M45.

Senior sprinters Conrad Beard, Sophie Temple and Kirstie Constable competed in the 60m with all three of them making it through the heats to the finals. Conrad’s best time of 7.92 lowered his PB by 0.28. Sophie Temple also ran below 8 seconds for the first time with a superb PB of 7.91 and Kirstie Constable was in seasons best form with 8.56.

U15 Isla Harvey competed in the 60m and 60m hurdles. Isla won her hurdles heat in a PB of 9.92 before lowering it further in the final with a time of 9.81. She then ran her 3rd PB of the day in the 60m with a brilliant 8.81.

U20s Bexley Turbard and James Pound competed in the pole vault. Bexley cleared a seasons best of 3.78 and James jumped to a new PB of 3.58.
