Our athletes turned up in big numbers to compete at the final Gloucestershire Cross Country League of the season in Pittville Park.

In the first race of the day Jess Bailey came out on top winning the U11 girls category by 10 seconds. In the U11 boys race Joseph Bradshaw produced his best race of the season finishing 2nd, an improvement of 14 places on his previous top finish!

Moving up to the U13 race it was another victory for Jack Shingler, securing himself the overall league title in style. Sebastian Heath ran well to make it two Harriers in the top 3 with a 3rd place finish. Ivy Wightman also secured league victory with a 2nd place finish in the U13 girls race.

We had two 2nd place finishes in the U15 category with Oliver Wilson and Scarlett Eagland both producing superb runs.

Our U17 men and women impressed with Erin Musty taking 1st and Tom Wightman and Maddie Thomson both finishing in 3rd.

Steph Lane and Harrison Miles led the men and women home as 3rd Senior Lady and 23rd Senior Man respectively. There were plenty more top three finishes in our senior races too. Sarah Sheppard was 2nd L40, Milly Foster took 3rd U20, Clare Hawling was 1st L60, Michael Eded finished 3rd M65, Heath Bampton was 2nd M55, Andy Gore 3rd M50 and Martin Foster was 1st M45.

Congratulations to all our athletes on a fantastic season!!

Isla Pain jumped to a superb bronze in the U20 high jump with a best clearance of 1.69. Isla currently ranks 2nd U20 in the UK and 5th overall.

Aidan John made it into the sem-final of the U17 60m with a club record equalling performance of 7.10. Impressively Aidan then equalled the club record a second time in the semi-final – the club record (set in 1996!) is definitely living on borrowed time now!

Oliver Marchant also competed in the U17 60m running well to finish 5th in his heat in 7.50. Oscar Beattie produced a big PB in the heats of the U17 200m, his time of 23.12 knocked 0.38 off his previous best and qualified him for the semi-final. In the semi-final Oscar backed up his performance with his second fastest time ever 23.16!

Bexley Turbard competed in the U20 pole vault and produced a seasons best clearance of 3.90 for 13th.
